One of Yeigo's visions at conception was to utilise the burgeoning capabilities of mobile phones and the internet to create a
mobile platform wittab/e power to enable cost-effective voice communication, as well as a large array of other communication
mediums using the internet - all from the palm of a user's hand.
Unified communication application encompassing, VoIP calls, SMS messaging, Instant Messaging and Push Email were developed, as
well dedicated application for low cost SMS in the product MzansiSMS.
Yeigo developed the mobile clients aswell as the backend servers. A propriatory protocol was used to talk between devices
with a series of gateways providing access to open networks.

MzansiSMS is the solution to high telecoms costs - it brings lower SMS prices to the people of South Africa.
This simple SMS sending application for lower end phones supporting Java J2ME enables the sending of SMS over the internet GPRS/3G
connection. In addition a Vendor application was provided to enable anyone to become a vendor and sell MzansiSMS credit from their
mobile phone and earn an income.
MzansiSMS was produced with next-generation operator Telfree who provides termination of SMS messages.
