Getting Started!

To get Yeigo LITE, just register an account that's free and has no obligations.

You can register an account:
• From the 'Sign me up!' page
• From an invitation Text a friend has sent you

Once you have completed your account registration, Yeigo will send you a Text message with a download link in it.

Click on the link within the Text and follow the easy installation and setup guidelines to get Yeigo Lite on your phone.

Note that phones vary in functionality, picture guidelines may not apply to all phones. If at any point you require further assistance refer to
the Yeigo Knowledgebase or contact the Yeigo Support Team.



You may be given information about the file to be downloaded, any other general information and/or asked if you are sure that you want to Install Yeigo.

Select OK/Proceed/Yes/Continue at each point.

Once your mobile phone has indicated that the installation is complete, exit/close.

Open up Yeigo!

Press the menu button to get to the Main Menu.

Select Entertainment/Installations (or the file where downloads appear).

Scroll to find the Yeigo LITE icon [Yeigo LITE logo] and select.

To log into Yeigo LITE, enter your mobile phone number starting with the international dialing code and then the password (case sensitive), you entered during registration.

The following message will appear: 'Allow the Yeigo application to use network and send and receive data?'

Select OK/Proceed/Yes/Continue at each point.

Yeigo LITE will ask you to select an access point. Scroll through the options and select your preferred option depending on your local service provider.

If you are using using the 'VLive' connection and are unable to login, try another access point.

Yeigo LITE – The Basics

All the functions for Yeigo LITE can be found under Options.
To create a Yeigo LITE ConnectUs/Call Connect or send Yeigo LITE messages, you must do this from the Yeigo LITE interface and not the general interface on your phone.

The opening page/tab is the Yeigo LITE Friends tab. When Yeigo LITE is installed for the first time the tab will be empty.

If you have added friends, their names will be displayed in the Friends tab.

Making a Yeigo LITE Call - Call Connect

Yeigo LITE uses the Call Connect system for making calls. When you want to make a call, Yeigo LITE calls you and then connects you to the person you want to call.

To make a call using Call Connect:

Select Options
Scroll down and select Call Connect
The default number is your mobile number, but you can temporary change it to be any number including your local fixed-line number.
Enter the recipient number. This is number of the person you are calling, whether mobile or fixed-line.

Select Options
Select Connect
Your mobile phone will ring, answer the call.
You will hear a voice asking you to wait until we connect your call. Yeigo LITE will connect you to the person you are calling.

Calling a Yeigo LITE Friend

Its even easier to call a Friend listed on your Friends tab.

Select Options
Select Friend Options
Scroll down and select ConnectUs
OR
Press the middle button on your mobile phone
Scroll down and select ConnectUs

Your mobile phone will ring, answer the call
You will hear a voice asking you to wait until we connect your call. Yeigo LITE will connect you to the person you are calling.

For each new account, Yeigo provides a small amount of test credit for you to make test calls.

Call someone from your Contacts book (Not supported by all mobile phones)

As you make a Call Connect call and enter the recipient number - you can use a number in your Contacts book.

Select Options
Select Add from Contacts
Select your friend's contact

Proceed with the call.

Chat with Friends for free

You can add friends, and chat to them for free. You can chat to other Yeigo users, as well as users from GoogleTalk, MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! and Jabber.

To add a Friend:

Select Options
Select Add Friend
Select the type of friend you would like to add

To add Yeigo users, you will need to enter their mobile number with the international dialing code.

To send a chat, enter the text and press the middle button to send.

Status

From the friend tab, you can see which of the Yeigo friends you have added to your list are logged in/online.

The status of your friends is indicated by the following icons:

: Available

: Away

: Busy

: Offline

Your Status is displayed in the top left corner in Yeigo LITE.

Send SMS messages

Select Options

Scroll down and select Send SMS

You can send a Text to anyone, Yeigo user or not, and it will arrive in their standard Inbox.

You can enter a number, or to send to someone from your Contacts (not supported by all the mobile phones).

Enter your message and Select Options, then Send Message to send.

All Text messages are charged for at an applicable rate.

Invite a Friend to Yeigo

You can send a Text invitation - free of charge - to your friend, inviting them to join Yeigo.

Select Options

Scroll down and Select Invite to Yeigo.

You can enter their number or select the number from Contacts (not supported by all the mobile phones).

What does using Yeigo LITE cost?

ConnectUs/Call Connect Calls

Yeigo LITE is calling you and calling your friend, therefore there are two call rates that Yeigo LITE uses to reach the final call cost.

ConnectUs/Call Connect calls, you need to consider the cost of Yeigo LITE calling you, as well as Yeigo LITE calling your friend. The rates used for calling you in and for calling your friend, are the Yeigo LITE rates, not those of your telecom operators. These two rates are combined to give you the final call rate for that call.

If you and your friend are being called on your mobile phones, you need to combine two mobile rates of the countries being called (e.g. if you are in the UK and your friend is in the US, you take the total of the UK and US mobile rates).

If you are using your mobile phone and you are calling your friend on their fixed-line, then you need to combine the mobile rate and the local fixed line rate of the countries being called (e.g. if you are in France on your mobile and your friend is in Australia at home, you take the total of the French mobile rate and the Australian fixed-line rates).

SMS Messages

Yeigo Lite SMS message rates is the same as the full Yeigo applications.

Internet Costs

Data Usage
Same as Yeigo largely. Call Connect/Connect Us calls use the same about of data as a live chat.

To check the amount of credit available on Yeigo:

Select Options
Then select Check Balance.

Yeigo will retrieve your balance and display it.
